Hii! Glad you're here!
On this website you can learn about many spacecrafts humanity created.
From huge stations like the ISS to smaller telescopes and satellites.
On the bottom, there are 3 apps about spacecrafts.
On the left, you'll find some additional apps.
You can switch to darkmode in settings on the top-right corner.
Please double click to open the apps.
Hope you'll enjoy this voyage!

Basic information:
1. Built between 2007 - 2021 by Northrop Grumman, Ball Aerospace & Technologies
2. Insertion into orbit: 25.12.2021, 1:20 PM CET
3. Conducts infrared observations
Wait, infrared observations? What does it mean??????
Let's look at how does James Webb Space Telescope look:
Do you see the gold, honey-like thing? That's Webbs mirror. It has a gold coating to provide infrared reflectivity.
The mirror is 6.5-meter-diameter (21-foot) and it's made up of 18 separate hexagonal mirrors.

The infrared is really usefull for several reasons:
- High-redshift (very early and distant) objects have their visible emissions shifted into the infrared,
and therefore their light can be observed only via infrared astronomy
- Infrared light passes more easily through dust clouds than visible light
- Colder objects such as debris disks and planets emit most strongly in the infrared
Mission goals
1. To search for light from the first stars and galaxies that formed in the universe after the Big Bang
2. To study galaxy formation and evolution
3. To understand star formation and planet formation
4. To study planetary systems and the origins of life
Okay, I think that's enough information. If you want to learn more check
this wikipedia site or
this NASA page about this mission.
Let's move on to the picturesque photos from James Webb Space Telescope!!! My fav part!
You can rate them from 1⭐ to 5⭐

Basic information:
1. Launch date: April 24 1990, 12:33:51 UTC
2. Named after astronomer Edwin Hubble
3. Built in the 1970s by NASA and ESA
The HST is one of the few telescopes that observes in ultraviolet light.
Besides ultraviolet, his main five instruments conduct observations in visible, and
near-infrared regions of the electromagnetic spectrum
Hubble is the only space telescope designed to be maintained in space by astronauts.
There were five Space Shuttle missions that repaired and upgraded the telescope.
The fifth mission was canceled due to Columbia Disaster. Fortunately, NASA
administrator Michael D. Griffin approved it, and the mission completed successfully in 2009.

✶ Artemis I ✶ Artemis II ✶ Artemis III
Learn more here:
1. SLS
2. Orion
There were three astronaut-like mannequins in the Orion spacecraft. Besides them,
Orion carried a Shaun the Sheep toy, representing the ESA's contribution to the mission
and a plushie of Snoopy! The Snoopy was a zero gravity indicator: because of no crew, he
was a visual signal, when the spacecraft has reached the weightlessness of microgravity
"Artemis IV will be one of the most complex undertakings of engineering and human ingenuity in the history of deep space exploration, exploring the lunar South Pole region. The astronauts' observations, samples, and data collected will expand our understanding of our solar system and home planet, while inspiring the Artemis Generation.
Artemis IV astronauts will travel to lunar orbit, where two crew members will descend to the surface and spend approximately a week near the South Pole of the Moon conducting new science before returning to lunar orbit to join their crew for the journey back to Earth."

Voyager 1 and 2 are twins - They were launched 2 weeks apart in 1977, they're built
the same way and yet they have way different stories. One made a grand tour of the solar system's outer planets,
and one is the most distant spacecraft ever!
They both carry a copy of the
Golden Record (you'll find some photos from golden record in "Voyager Photos" App on the left). They also both have:
1. a radio dish with a diameter of 3.7 meters (it transmits data to Earth)
2. a set of 16 thrusters (they point these dishes towards Earth and control the spacecrafts orientation)
3. 11 scientific instruments
On this photo you can see Voyager's 11 instruments and other parts like the High-Gain Antenna.
Instruments highlighted by light yellow are off on Voyager 2.
Instruments highlighted by aqua are off on Voyager 1.

Opportunity found clay minerals formed in neutral-pH water, which indicates that there was once water on Mars.
It was a crater explorer. The Endeavour Crater has a diameter of about 14 miles (22 kilometers). The yellow line shows a part of Opportunity's route, a marathon distance, travelled since its landing to 2015.
Opportunity had also discovered small deposits of hematite, veins of gypsum and many more things, indicating the past presence of water on Mars. Oppy's selfie on the left!
Spirit discovered unusual rocks that were 10 times richer in key chemicals. Such rocks formed on Mars in a wet and warm environment that could have been conducive to the development of life.
At "Home Plate" (the rover's final resting place) Spirit discovered 90% pure silica and an ancient volcano eruption. Conditions of these discoveries can support microbial life On Eath. What do you think? Do the same applies on Mars?

NGRST is a new mission that launched few days ago, on August 30 2026!
Let's take a look at it's launch
As you could noticed, Roman was launched on Falcon Heavy rocket
- it's a really powerful rocket that provides partial reusability.
Wide Field Instrument
It is a 300-megapixel infrared camera that will allow scientists to look very far back in time.
Coronagraph
Which demonstrates technology that eliminates the glare of nearby stars and allows astronomers to directly image planets in
orbit around them.
